Spon Diogo is a label launched by Mia Lisa Spon and Rui Andersen Rodrigues in August 2008. Its design approach is centered on a constructional, rhythmic, structural, minimal, graphic modus and strongly founded on their love for materials and tailoring. This latest collection, "The Mater" collection, is, in the words of Mr. Andre Amtoft, "conceptualized as a study in the use of bio-mimicry in clothing. Drawing on culturally, greographically, and temporally dispersed observations, the study identifies speed, agility, elegance, prowess and distiction as the unifying and discrete themes of the collection". As I must say, i'm quite impressed.
